JUJIANG GIANT Barrier Gate Installation Guide

  • Time:2026-06-23 17:00:17

Installing a barrier gate correctly is essential for ensuring long-term stability, safety, and smooth operation. Many users face difficulties during installation due to complex components and unclear instructions. This guide from JUJIANG GIANT simplifies the process into clear, practical steps to help installers achieve efficient and reliable setup.、

1. Pre-Installation Preparation

Before installation begins, a proper site inspection is required:

First, confirm the available space. Ensure there are no obstacles within the boom arm range (typically 2.5–6 meters). Next, evaluate the ground condition to determine whether a concrete foundation is already available or needs to be constructed. Power supply compatibility is also critical, commonly AC 220V or DC 12V depending on the model. Finally, determine the installation side (left or right of the lane) based on traffic flow.

Safety must always be prioritized. Power must be disconnected before installation or maintenance. The system must be properly grounded and equipped with leakage protection. Control devices such as switches and remotes should be installed at a height above 1.5 meters and kept away from children.

2. Foundation Construction and Cabinet Fixing

If the ground is not concrete, a solid foundation must be poured. The base should extend 100–150 mm beyond the gate cabinet dimensions to ensure stability. A recommended height of 10–20 cm helps protect against water and impact damage.

Cable ducts should be pre-buried, separating power and control lines to avoid interference.

Position the cabinet vertically, mark mounting holes, drill accurately, and secure it using expansion bolts. A firm installation base is essential for vibration resistance and long-term durability.

3. Boom Arm Installation

Insert the boom arm into the mounting slot of the cabinet. Secure it using washers and nuts, ensuring tight fixation. Adjust the support bracket so that the arm remains perfectly horizontal when closed. Different models support different boom lengths, typically between 2.5 and 6 meters.

4. Electrical Wiring

Proper wiring ensures safe and stable operation:

Power input connects to the control board (AC or DC depending on model)

Motor wires connect to the motor terminals (swap two wires to reverse direction)

Loop detector connects to LOOP terminals using high-temperature copper wire

Infrared sensors connect to IR/PH terminals

Push buttons connect to START/OPEN/CLOSE/STOP

Warning lights connect to LAMP output

All wiring must strictly follow the diagram. Strong and weak current lines must be separated, and all connections must be secure to prevent signal interference.

5. Limit Setting (Critical Step)

Limit configuration determines accurate opening and closing positions. Most systems use either button-based or digital menu learning modes.

For JUJIANG GIANT systems, the operator typically enters learning mode via the “AUTO” button, runs the gate to full open and close positions, and confirms each position. The controller automatically stores settings after completion.

6. Direction Adjustment

To switch installation direction, power off the system, reverse the limit block position, swap motor wires, and repeat limit learning. This ensures correct operation for both left and right installations.

7. Remote Control Pairing & Testing

Press the learning button on the control board and activate the remote key to pair successfully. Functional testing should include opening, closing, and stop commands.

Additional safety tests include loop detection (vehicle auto-stop/hold open), infrared anti-collision protection, and manual release operation during power failure.

8. Final Inspection

A properly installed barrier gate should operate smoothly without noise or vibration. Boom positioning must be accurate, safety systems fully functional, and remote control effective within the specified range.

The above procedures are based on general barrier gate installation standards. Actual implementation should be adjusted according to the specific model and on-site conditions.
